Climax Studios develops games and content for some of the world’s biggest publishers, including Sony, Microsoft, EA, 2K Games and Amazon. The studio is located in a waterfront location in Portsmouth, UK.
The Role:
The HR team is growing to meet the continued growth of our studio.
You will support the HR Director and Recruitment Manager to deliver recruitment and HR administration in a timely and effective manner. This is a broad and varied role that would be well suited to an HR administrator looking to gain more experience in a generalist capacity.
Within this role you will:
- Provide end to end employee administrative support, ensuring a timely, accurate and positive experience. Tasks including but not limited to contract generation & amendments, onboarding and offboarding, reference requests, absence recording, benefits admin, visa applications, training admin, performance review and reward process admin.
- Provide basic advice, support and guidance to our people and managers via communications systems and face-to-face.
- Pass queries onto the HR Director where appropriate.
- Maintain hard and soft copy employee records, ensuring they are accurate, kept up to date in a timely manner and stored in line with HR policy and GDPR regulations.
- In conjunction with the HR Director, ensure payroll data is updated on a monthly basis with new starters / leavers information, additional payments or deductions and supporting documentation is provided to Finance / Payroll by the payroll cut off date.
- In conjunction with the HR Dir and Recruitment Mgr, be responsible for updating and creating HR forms, templates and processes, ensuring they remain up to date and fit for purpose.
- Contribute to management information / reports on a routine and ad-hoc basis.
- Contribute to HR and recruitment related project work as requested.
- Updating company Confluence (info portal) on an ad-hoc basis.
- Provide support to the HR Director and ensure they’re kept up to date on all important matters.
- Identify areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation in our own workload / HR processes
- Any other duties where required.
Requirements
- A good level of previous practical experience within a fast-paced HR environment.
- Previous experience of dealing with sensitive or confidential matters.
- Ability to use initiative to solve problems and think outside the box
- Able to quickly gain credibility and form good working relationships with key stakeholders.
- A tendency to take ownership of problems and actively seek solutions by using your own initiative.
- Ability to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines and manage a varied workload.
- Must have a flexible attitude and strive for continuous improvement with a keen eye for detail, consistency and accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as on your own initiative.
- Ability to promote and uphold HR initiatives and values, including discretion and confidentiality.
- Well developed IT skills and familiarity with business applications such as Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Atlassian.
Bonus Points:
- HR/Payroll systems experience is highly desirable.
- CIPD certificate upto level 3 is an advantage.
- Ability to work with ATS applications.
- Familiarity with social media recruiting.
