OVERVIEW:
Our HR Manager is a partner to our 2K Vegas leadership team, 2K HR, and Take-Two corporate HR and plans and handles all aspects of human resources activities, like headcount management, benefit programs, learning and development, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, policy compliance, and payroll administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Crafts, plans, and/or handles employee-relations activities and programs including employee counseling, career development, policy interpretation and compliance, new hire orientation, and employee recognition programs
- Facilitates effective and positive resolution of employee issues, displaying a genuine interest and respect for people and their concerns
- Partners with leadership and Director, HR to communicate employee concerns/requests, anticipate issues, and recommend resolutions
- Supports recruiting plans and activities
- Partners with leadership to develop, promote, and coordinate learning and development activities, including creating training curriculum, as well as career planning and coaching
- Plans and conducts employee orientation to foster positive demeanor toward company goals
- Supports employee transfer/relocation activities
- Analyzes data, prepares reports, and makes recommendations on many HR topics
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Supports performance review program in Lattice to ensure efficiency, compliance, and equity within organization
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company guidelines
- Maintains company job descriptions using Textio and ensures company postings are updated and in compliance with legislation
- Maintains a variety of HR records including performance reviews, government reporting, unemployment, and employee transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, terminations
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation; conducts exit interviews to resolve reasons behind separations; provides periodic reports to the leadership team and HR Partners.
- Collaborates with corporate Benefits to coordinate benefits programs (e.g., life, health, dental insurance, disability, FMLA, STD, etc.)
- Investigates workers’ compensation accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier
- In conjunction with corporate Payroll, ensures administration of payroll and time-and-attendance through Workday; processes payroll and benefits’ paperwork bi-weekly
- Prepares internal employee communications on benefits or company policies to ensure effective, accurate, and timely dissemination of information
- Supervises a team of 2-4
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field and 7+ years’ experience in a HR Generalist function or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- PHR/SPHR preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), G Suite and HRIS systems like Workday and Greenhouse
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record to optimally present information and respond to questions from employees, candidates, and groups of leaders
- Confirmed ability to handle multiple projects and meet goals
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to creatively solve problems
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to optimally connect with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
- Detailed understanding of Nevada and California HR principles and practices, including wage and hour, employment law, safety, and EEO compliance
- Strong learning and development background a must; strong recruiting background a plus
- Experience building an HR function and supporting an hourly staff a plus
- Physical demands are consistent with a desk job in a normal office environment
