Internship Overview:

Department: Operations

Reports to: Director of Human Resources & Employee Experience

Length: 8 - 12 weeks depending on availability (flexible)

Responsibilities:

  • General Responsibilities
    • Work alongside members of the HR and Operations team
    • Research and recommend optimizations to recruiting process
    • Assist in creating a positive employee experience
  • Recruiting
    • Assist with recruiting policy development
    • Refine job descriptions to reflect increased scope of responsibility
    • Create training materials for current and new managers
  • Employee Experience
    • Help develop employee journey map
    • Research small and budget effective activities to improve engagement especially while working remotely
    • Research ways to connect company on a global level

Knowledge and Traits:

  • Strong desire to learn, and professional drive
  • Passion for Human Resources, and personnel development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • The ability to multitask efficiently on a daily basis
  • Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
  • The ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
  • The ability to learn new programs and technologies at a fast pace, or through independent research
  • Understanding of multiple software programs
  • Must have an avid interest in the gaming industry, and an overall interest in learning about the gaming industry

Technical Skills:

Required

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite, specifically Sheets, Docs, & Slides
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred but not necessary

  • Familiarity working with HR software programs like Bamboo HR

Additional Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year university or MBA program
  • Must be able to receive academic credit from their college or university prior to starting an assignment
  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master’s program at an accredited college or university
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks
  • Part-Time attendance 2-3 days per week, Monday through Friday; negotiated shifts between the hours of 9AM-5PM
