Human Resources Generalist

Overview
MachineGames is looking for an HR Generalist to join our studio. This role is for someone who likes to engage in a wide variety of areas of responsibility on different levels. The responsibilities are spanning from day-to-day operative HR-support and administration to projects related to for example health safety and work environment or compensation and benefits. In this role you will be part of a team of three and you will be reporting to the HR manager of the studio.
Our studio is located in central Uppsala, Sweden which is a small and vibrant city 30 minutes north of the capital Stockholm. It has a historical heritage reaching back to pre-medieval times. MachineGames is a part of ZeniMax Media inc. alongside sister studios Alpha Dog games, Arkane studios, Bethesda game studios, Id Software, Roundhouse Studios, Tango Gameworks, and ZeniMax Online Studios.

This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible. For this role you must be permanently located within commuting distance of Uppsala and hold a Swedish work permit or be a Swedish citizen.
Responsibilities
Administrative/Payroll/Employee services
- Monitor our HR email and slack channels and respond to employees’ and supervisors’ queries s in a professional and timely manner
- Creating employment related documents, such as employment certificates and employment agreements.
- Manage our Employee information Confluence page, which aims to provide employees with an on-demand employment information source.
- Support supervisors with employee relations matters.
- Maintain accurate and up to date employee records on HR information systems and in employee files, capturing all required documentation in compliance with GDPR.
- Complete audits to identify any outstanding documents or non-compliance.
- Share the responsibility of preparing monthly payroll with the HR Manager
- Respond to payroll related employee queries
- Monitor and document employees leave of absence, following up with supervisors and employees
Work environment
- Support with ensuring that MachineGames’ policies and routines that are up to date with local legislation and common practice and properly documented.
- Support in harmonising global policies with local legislation and common practice as well as rolling out global policies at local level.
- Being responsible for the studio’s Systematical work environment management (Swe: systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete) and its documentation.
- Manage rehabilitation cases, by documenting and coordinating between social insurance agency, occupational health care, the affected individual and their supervisors.
Diversity and Inclusion
- Support with ensuring that MachineGames has policies and documented routines that are up to date with local legislation and common practice.
- Support in harmonising global policies with local legislation and common practice as well as rolling out global policies at local level.
- Planning and carrying out activities related to diversity and inclusion initiatives, for example lectures, trainings, attending events and conferences.
- Support the HR Manager with carrying out the annual salary mapping
Compensation and Benefits
- Participate in projects related to compensation and benefits
- Obtaining and maintaining robust compensation data
Qualifications
- Formal education in human resources management, preferably at university level
- Must have experience and be familiar with the application of Swedish labor/employment law
- At least a couple of years of experience from a generalist human resources role
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects and implementations to the finish
- An eye for details and a focus on delivering in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, exercise good judgement and discretion in handling information
- Able to independently search for information and suggest solutions to problems
- Great people skills and does not hesitate to collaborate cross functionally
- Able to, from time to time, work after office hours, for example during company events
- Experience of an international setting and an ability to communicate at a professional level, both in writing and verbally in English
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite
