The Nitty Gritty:
Big Viking Games is on the hunt for a Human Resources Generalist. You will be the Viking to keep all Vikings happy and safe each day! Reporting to the Director of HR, this role will be based out of our London, ON studio.
The Duties:
- Manage employee performance reviews; assist the management team with scheduling and completing performance reviews, and provide training to management on how to give performance reviews
- Onboard new employees with proper HR documentation as well as manage happiness surveys and measure employee net promoter score (eNPS)
- Administer BVG’s compensation structure, including annual compensation reviews, compensation structure analysis, etc
- Administer all Big Viking Games’ benefits such as health, ESOP, RSP, etc
- Liaise with external partners and manage the relationships with vendors including ADP, acting as the administrator and main point of contact for these applications and services
- Assist with the implementation and management of the internal communication strategy
- Lead the Health & Safety program
- Ensure policies, processes and programs operate in accordance with all relevant legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, AODA, Bill C-45
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of the company’s internal website
- Oversee the maintenance of employee records and the HRIS system
- Other HR administrative tasks including event planning, HR reporting, training and obtaining funding grants
- Coordinate and attend school and technology recruitment events
The Must Haves:
- 3 or more years experience in a generalist HR role
- Human Resource Management Graduate
- Excellent communication and analytical skills; able to present with a strong business focus to various stakeholders within the company
- Experience with G-Suites and HRIS systems
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledgeable of all relevant legislation including the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, AODA, Bill C-45
The Nice to Haves:
- CHRP designation or designation in progress
- Start-up and/or Technology industry experience
- Passion for games!
