Magic Leap is looking for PhD, Masters and Bachelors students to join our team for a 3 month Summer Program for Underrepresented Students on our Health Applications Engineering Team, this program is based in Plantation, FL.
Job Description
You will work on the development of an advanced app prototype designed to showcase the use of digital biomarkers using spatial computing. Under the guidance of the Health software technical leads, you will work within an agile development environment to understand and implement software requirements and develop appropriate unit tests. At the end of the program, you will have created a self-contained prototype of a visualization app that will be used to explore novel ways to collect and present health information for both physicians and patients.
- Implement a self-contained Unity prototype for digital biomarker data visualization.
- Develop with a strong focus on user experience and interface design.
- Develop software, perform code review, and create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, specifications and tests that fulfill the requirements for regulated code development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues.
- Write elegant, maintainable, reusable code; leveraging test driven principles to develop high quality applications, algorithms, and services.
Qualifications
- Experience coding & debugging of C, C++ and/or C#.
- Experience performing high-level design and architecture of front-end applications
- Interest and academic background in medical technology and/or health-related software applications.
- Experience with game engines, especially Unity, a strong plus.
Education
- Currently working towards a PhD or Masters in Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
