Who we're looking for:
The Marketing department is looking for a self-driven and motivated social media and influencer leader who will build our world-class branded communities. As the Head of Social & Influencers, you will lead three critical functions: strategy, reporting, and production. You will build social strategies to be a pathway for paid UA, creating a strong pipeline from social to performance. Your key challenge will be to bridge the gap between performance and brand marketing while delivering social content, community growth, and influencer programs that support and extend users growth efforts, engagement and lifetime value.
What you'll do:
- Build and establish world-class branded communities through content, social media, and influencer engagement
- Attract, retain, mentor and coach a team to develop and execute social and influencer programs to drive paid UA
- Develop, own, and optimize a plan to deploy a budget to grow an engaged audience while meeting KPIs
- Influence and collaborate with cross functional teams to inform of social and influencer strategy, activations, and results.
- Attract new- and manage existing partners for social and influencer programs at scale
- Oversee the management of tools, systems, and infrastructure essential for delivering, engaging, and measuring social media, content, and influencer programs
- Develop and direct best practices and processes to manage social and influencer programs that operate in on-plan and in real-time
- Understand and connect with core audiences, evolving how they connect with Skillz content to drive behavioral change and increase brand perception and loyalty
- Source and manage agencies, partners, and cross-functional roles to run efficient and cost-effective social and influencer programs/campaigns
Your Skillz:
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media marketing, or content marketing
- 8+ years of experience in team leadership and management with experience managing agencies
- Experience in gaming, mobile gaming, tech, or entertainment
- Experience with building and managing real-time and planned content and influencer programs
- Experience in driving measurable results from a gaming, tech, or entertainment brand
- Ability to approach complex problems and transform them into simple and elegant solutions
- Understanding of data analysis and using testing methods to inform decisions
- Strong communication skills and comfortable liaising between technical and non-technical partners, key internal and external stakeholders, and executive leadership
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to respond to feedback and implement ideas in a changing environment.
