Head of Performance Marketing

Super Evil Megacorp is looking for the head of performance marketing to join its growing marketing team. This role reports into our Head of Marketing.

As the head of performance marketing, you will drive paid user acquisition and ad buying on mobile, PCs, consoles and beyond. You will be responsible for planning a media buying strategy, managing acquisition funnel across all ad channels/units/types, negotiating ad buys with ad partners, and building the team.

To accomplish these goals, you will be working with talented folks such as engineers, artists, marketing operations, product marketers, product managers, and other cross-discipline leads.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing

• Leading and building our ad buying strategy, process, and ad technology
• Creating, optimizing, and tirelessly testing new user acquisition campaigns across various ad partners to effectively and efficiently reach our user acquisitions goals.
• Creating processes/automation to build marketing creative function and make best-in-class and fully optimized creatives for paid user acquisition campaigns
• Building, mentoring, and training a world-class performance marketing team as the organization evolves
• Working closely with the product team to influence product decisions to improve LTV of users
• Championing data driven decision making across the organization by educating and empowering the studio to use data and improve our product, marketing and operations decisions.

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Economics, Applied Mathematics, Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field
• 5+ years experience in mobile user acquisition and ad buying experience at scale, preferably with free-to-play games
• Advanced understanding of mobile ad attribution, fraud, and incrementality
• 5+ years experience in ad buy negotiations
• Manage fast-paced projects in a highly-organized manner on schedule and on budget
• 5+ years experience conducting analysis, A/B testing and other relevant statistical techniques
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills
• 2+ years experience in management and supervisory role to inspire, prioritize, and mentor
• A team player that is results focused and an intellectually curious self-starter, while your work reflects that of someone who is extremely detail-oriented.

BONUS POINTS:

• Up to date knowledge of mobile game market trends
• Familiar with json files, Python and/or other scripting languages
