Storm8 is looking for an enthusiastic and organized self-starter Human Resources Generalist to join the team! The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR management team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas including but not limited to: recruitment, on-boarding/off-boarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training and development, performance management when applicable, policy creation and implementation, employment law compliance, employee morale and team building. Furthermore, as the company continues to work fully remote, the HR Generalist will work with the People Team to continuously improve engagement and processes establishing a world-class remote work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing potential candidates for current and future openings as directed.
- Help maintain ATS and open/close requisitions with assistance in scheduling interviews as needed
- Oversee onboarding and new hire orientation to educate new employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.
- Act as benefits administrator, working closely with benefits broker to assist with any questions and assisting with the annual open enrollment period.
- Handle HR related questions, interpreting and explaining HR policies, and help resolve employee relations issues as needed.
- Process internal documents and update HRIS system for all job changes including new hires, promotions and terminations.
- Create and maintain employee files and personnel records in accordance with legal requirements and company procedures.
- Compose internal documents as needed such as offer letters, employee change forms, etc.
- Maintaining physical and digital files for HR related matters and employees’ files.
- Work with the HR management team to address any employee relations issues as directed.
- Help administer leaves of absence and respond to verification of employment requests.
- Assist in offboarding and conducting exit interviews.
- Assist with federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Create and collaborate on programs, tools, events and policies across employees’ lifecycle to promote ongoing cohesion and synergy.
- Perform general administrative HR duties and work on HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent, Masters degree a plus!
- Understanding and working knowledge of HR topics such as: compensation, organizational change, flight risk management, compliance with local employment law, HR operations, etc.
- Must have 3-5+ years of Human Resources with some recruiting/sourcing experience
- Excellent written and communication skills with an ongoing initiative for delivering results
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize; must have strong organization, time management and follow up skills with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates high levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to produce high quality and accurate work
- Previous experience with remote work planning and cultivation is preferred
- Systems experience with BambooHR, ADP, Greenhouse, and Google Platform a plus
