HR Business Partner

Job Description

HR Business Partner plays a dynamic role in providing supervision and support on a wide range of strategic and operational HR issues. Assigned to a specific game development project, the HRBP will work closely with the Ubisoft Singapore’s HR Director, with the creative leaders and team members of the project to foster a vibrant, affable work environment that promotes strong collaboration, creativity, high performance and continuous learning.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Business Partner to leaders and managers

• Collaborates between the project and HR to understand business priorities and assesses needs in staffing, organization design, performance management, change management, employee relations, new leader coaching, talent management and career development
• Drives and manages HR solutions, drives initiatives, implements new processes or tools in support of business priorities, project operations and overall team engagement

• Synchronizes with project leaders and managers regularly to update on HR initiatives, discuss HR issues and collate feedback on team apprehensions.

• Guides leaders and managers on performance & appraisal issues, and enhance managers’ engagement in people management.

• Coordinates initiatives that enhance work relationships, staff and retention, and reinforcing & promoting Ubisoft culture, e.g. team health survey, staff appreciation program, team-building events etc.

HR Advisor for the team

• Nurtures employees throughout their career in Ubisoft: onboarding of new hires, administer team assignments and career growth, facilitate appraisals, and exit interviews.
• Evaluates employees’ needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, career development and leadership.
• Assesses and anticipates human resources-related needs
• Manages and resolves general concerns, coach managers to address the day to day functioning of the organization
• Champions and promotes HR initiatives across the teams

Qualifications

• At least 4 years’ work experience in an HR Business Partner role; ideally, in a set-up that requires synchronization across various functions and stakeholders of mixed seniorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Humanities or related disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong work ethics, able to handle confidential information sensitively and with integrity
• Strong experience in dealing with employee matters, labour laws and work relations in Singapore
• Good planning, organization, analytical and problem solving skills
• Fast learner, proactive, agility to thrive within a fast-paced environment
• Able to work both on a team (a member or leader) and independently to deliver results with minimal supervision
• Adept at working with diverse teams of different cultures and personalities
