HR Business Partner
We are Fatshark
We are a critically acclaimed Swedish game development studio with about 180 experienced and skilled employees. We are most well-known for developing the Warhammer: Vermintide franchise, but have also helped develop a number of AAA titles and will soon be launching the highly anticipated game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
We have grown quite a bit over the last few years and are almost two-hundred “Sharks” now, but we still embrace the same values that we started with and still think of ourselves like one big family with fun at the center. Come into our world, a world known for our crazy internally designed socks, hackweeks, and Friday afternoons for studio-wide “social play” time. It all adds up to an approachable, fun, passion-driven yet communal environment for us to work in.
The role
As Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) the objective is to support the business in both strategic planning as well as operational hands-on support for management and employees. The HRBP is responsible for bringing an HR perspective in people related policies and processes, including e.g. employer branding, work environment, motivation, retention, and legal compliance, all in accordance with the company values and goals. The HRBP works closely with the senior management team, managers/leaders, talent acquisition and office/HR admin.
What we offer
Here at Fatshark, we do what we love most: design high-profile games for PCs and consoles. We offer you:
- A playful, friendly and inclusive work place
- Hands-on production environment with an emphasis on cooperative/multiplayer games
- Opportunities for personal growth with varied projects, experienced co-workers and recurring hack weeks
- Regulated flex time and paid overtime
- Occupational pension
- Yearly health benefits and health checkups
- Yearly bonus program
- Office located in central Stockholm
What you'll do
- Management support: supporting managers and leaders with complex HR issues such as conflict management, strategic recruitment planning, performance management and terminations.
- International matters: international mobility, immigration, and practicalities regarding international staff. Act as liaison between the company and third parties such as relocation agencies and EORs.
- Swedish labour law: counseling as well as active participation in union negotiations, policy making and legal compliance in all people-related matters.
- Strategic planning based on data analysis as well as qualitative input from employees and management.
- Active measures within work environment and rehabilitation processes.
- Ensure correct HR data management and documentation.
- Internal communication in HR related matters.
Required qualifications
Even though Fatshark has grown substantially in the last few years, we’re still proud to have a close-knit and helpful environment where each and every one pitches in when needed. This means an expectation of the HRBP to roll up their sleeves and also opens up the opportunity to get involved in the business and grow with the company. We believe that a passionate, hard-working and flexible generalist would fit in better than a focused specialist.
Requirements include:
- Minimum BS degree within Human Resources, or equivalent
- Proven work experience in a broad HR role, as an HRBP or HR Generalist, minimum 5 years
- Thorough knowledge and practical experience of labour legislation
- A service-minded attitude with the company’s and employees’ best interest in mind
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to pick up and understand social cues
- Attention to detail and able to follow through with documentation
- A strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities; being able to analyze complex information and situations, and to plan and execute solutions
- An understanding of the video game industry or experience of game development is a big plus. Experience from entertainment or tech is also valuable
