The purpose of this role is to constantly review, monitor, and liaise with Finance, procurement and other business partners to ensure that HR is accurate in its forecast and spend. The HR Budge and Planning Analyst will prepare the budget and reports and keep the leadership team appraised of variances. Finally, working with the leaders for HR function, this candidate should understand needs and improvements necessary to maximize available dollars across the function.
This individual will ensure that HR is in compliance with the requirements of the company’s process, and will work to ensure that all contracts, Purchase Orders, and Statements of Work are review and cleared by Legal and IT where required. We are looking for an individual who can be creative relating to operational improvement, and who is willing and able to work at the individual contributor level to drive excellence in this area. This is a hands-on role that will require familiarity with accounting principles as well as the ability to utilize systems and reports effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key resource supporting HR departments and other regions during the fiscal year consolidated budget process to help insure a successful, informative budget meeting with our leadership team on a monthly cadence.
- Process invoice payments, track outstanding payments and resolve payment issues.
- Partner with Procurement and Legal teams to ensure Purchase Orders and contracts are approved.
- Develop functional templates to facilitate program spend in alignment with overall HR spend allocation.
- Establish monthly budget review with key budgets owners on their actual spending to budget, navigating matrixed and multi-level leadership structure.
- Partner closely with Corporate Finance Planning to explain variances related to current month, year-to-date, and latest estimate actual versus planned performance utilizing payment root cause analysis.
- Prepare thoughtful and insightful monthly analysis of variances to budget/forecasts for HR leadership team.
- Collaborate with Corporate F&PA and other departments to drive continue operational improvements, data collection and reporting of HR budgets.
- Administer quarterly and annual budgets in Adaptive System.
- Provide financial information to meet ad hoc reporting demands.

Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of financial, budgeting, and accounting related experience. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related analytical field required Strong financial, accounting, and business acumen.
- Ability to lead all aspects of projects and direct, multitask, prioritize, work independently, and maintain a high level of focus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues both inside and outside of the department and Company.
- Ability to design, develop, and recommend projects and analyses related to financial data CPA preferred, but not required
