HR Administrator – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

This will be a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking for a challenging and varied HR role within a fast-growing AAA games development studio based in Horsham, UK.
The HR Administrator is the key support on the HR team, delivering a high quality and professional service through effective administration across all aspects of Human Resources. The HR Administrator will work closely with all members of the HR team to ensure that a professional, customer focused, proactive and flexible HR service is delivered to the studio.
Key Responsibilities
As the HR Administrator on the team, you will be responsible for ensuring all systems and processes are accurate and up to date.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Assist in payroll processing, monitoring absence and sick pay entitlements
- Support and administer the new starter and leaver process, employee onboarding, processing end to end employment changes, creating and maintaining employee system profiles
- Respond to HR queries, providing benefit support, reference checking and provision, processing probationary reviews, producing and analysing reports, and monitoring and preparing visa applications
- Be the initial point of contact for all HR information queries to review, resolve and/or escalate them as they arise
- Provide ad-hoc admin support to the HR Business Partner team along with opportunities to be involved with a wide range of HR projects within the studio.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Understanding of payroll processes
- Previous experience working in an HR environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Proven track record of dealing with sensitive or confidential matters
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to show resilience
- Ability to interpret data and statistics
Desirable
- Experience with database systems such as Oracle, Sage People, SAP, etc
- Experience with visa applications
- A team player and self-starter
