Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, the Growth Marketing Manager (ASO) will play a pivotal role in driving user acquisition and growth for Kabam’s games through effective App Store Optimization strategies. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance app store visibility, drive organic downloads, and improve overall app performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategy and Team Collaboration
- Work alongside senior marketing professionals to develop and implement ASO & SEO strategies to enhance app store & search visibility and rankings.
- Analyze app store trends, competitor ASO strategies, and algorithm changes to identify optimization opportunities.
- Assist in formulating localized market strategies for different regions, adapting approaches to match local nuances.
- Provide support in generating clear, detailed projections and effectively communicate them to key stakeholders.
- Support across mobile and pc storefronts, providing clear strategic thinking and innovation.
- Develop creative roadmaps for portfolio, implementing test learnings to storefronts.
- Execute and manage all storefront testing and optimizations, working closely with Product
- Marketing and Product Release team on creative and QA.
- Keyword Research and Optimization
- Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-impact keywords and phrases.
- Optimize app store listings, including titles, descriptions, and keywords, to maximize search visibility and conversions.
- Creative Optimization
- Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing app store assets, including app icons, screenshots, and promotional materials.
- Continuously test and iterate on creative elements to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with game development teams to gain insights into product roadmaps, features, design, and economy, contributing to revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to assess the impact to user acquisition, product marketing, branding, and consumer insights on ROI and growth.
- Work with the Business Development team to leverage insights into platform partnerships, IP partnerships, and regional expertise.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to align growth marketing strategies and expectations with game metrics.
- Analysis, Reporting, and Budget Management
- Monitor and analyze ASO KPIs and performance metrics.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to ASO strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor ASO strategies.
- Identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement based on competitive insights.
- Generate regular reports on ASO performance and present findings to stakeholders.
- Manage and allocate budgets effectively across different marketing channels for maximum impact.
Education & Key Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in growth marketing and ASO, with a focus on the mobile gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of ASO best practices, app store algorithms, and app store guidelines.
- Proficiency in ASO tools and analytics platforms, with ability to execute experiments and analyze results.
- Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret performance data.
- Ability to build out growth models and forecasting for installs.
- Ability to identify high and low confidence testing opportunities that would grow the game(s) from ASO/SEO perspective
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for mobile gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming market.
