Dept Overview:
The Global Sales and Business Operations (GSBO) team brings together staff from around the world, with a passion for engaging gamers with PlayStation’s extraordinary products and services. Role overview:
- Provide analytical insight to financial performance, understand and communicate key trends and drive value added reporting and business understanding.
- Support business and finance decision making.
- Develop KPI and other reporting to unlock the value from data in the business.
- The role will work closely with the head office consolidation team as well as the Finance Systems Team, IT department and Territory Finance Directors and other central business teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviews of territory by territory performance against forecasts/budgets and work to drive meaningful financial commentaries from the territories
- Provide examination of budget, forecast against actual performance at both the group and territory level
- Produce value added commentary and variance analysis in monthly reporting
- Responsibility for Software Stock provision balance sheet
- Ownership of reporting to the US based Corporate Planning, ensuring integrity of data and variance analysis
- Ad hoc reporting to support the business
- Develop new ad-hoc reporting to support business analysis and performance tracking
- Review existing reporting and drive improvements, including development of new management reporting including key KPI’s.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Accountant with between 1 and 3 years relevant PQE
- Experience and understanding of SAP BPC & SAP BW preferable
- Advanced excel skills essential
- Proven track record of similar roles/tasks in industry
- Strong financial analysis and management accounting background
- Focussed on process improvement and automation
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy & adherence to deadlines.
- Experience of working in a regional group headquarters.
- Excellent people skills and ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Excellent written communication skills
- Self-starter, pro-active and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven track record of similar roles/tasks in Global / Pan regional company in one of the below sectors:-
- Retail
- Online services & E-commerce
- Entertainment business (Game/Film/Music)
