Job Description
Ubisoft Halifax is searching for the newest addition to our Programming Team! As a Generalist Programmer, you will work closely with the broader production team to design, implement and maintain new in-game features, third party SDKs and gameplay-related systems!
We're looking for an enthusiastic developer who loves games as much as the technology that drives them! This person will bring their curiosity, ingenuity and love for learning to our growing diverse team!
Key Accountabilities
- Planning/Designing and implementing efficient and maintainable code in C# within Unity.
- Designing and programming game systems that meet production goals (following SOLID principals).
- Managing time commitments to design, develop and/or optimize gameplay features on mobile projects within Unity.
- Documenting existing systems and performing analysis on legacy systems to determine improvements!
- Taking part in conversations to communicate relevant updates and challenges to key stakeholders!
- Implementing 3rd party SDKs into Unity Projects.
Qualifications
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Diploma in Video Game Development, or equivalent work experience;
- A minimum 2 years of experience in Game Development using Unity on Android/iOS platforms.
- Experience with Live and Online-related SDKs;
- A working experience with Unity animations and models in 3D space!
- A strong understanding of object-oriented design skills and proficiency in C# programming and debugging.
- A high degree of source control experience (git and/or Perforce)

The studio culture is dynamic, with communication happening constantly between teams, and with an emphasis on team building and collaboration.
