Destiny Gameplay Engineer (Mid to Senior)

As a Gameplay Engineer at Bungie, you will play an integral role in bridging the last mile technology between game design, art, and our engine. Most importantly, you will work with a fun, dedicated, and energetic team devoted to making Destiny one of the best games in the world.
This position is available for full-time remote work in CA, FL, IL, NC, OR, TX, and WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain production-quality code using C++
- Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to build new gameplay experiences and technology
- Rapidly investigate and resolve emergent issues in development and retail environments
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Able to build and maintain production quality C++ code
- Experience with navigating large technical systems, designing, building, extending, debugging, and repairing as necessary
- Ability to communicate with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to help them navigate technology and achieve their goals
- Familiarity with 3D math
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience developing networked gameplay features
- Experience writing performant real-time simulations
- Effectively write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and email communication
- Willing to manage or mentor more junior engineers
