We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development process of Project Gundalf, an upcoming Next Generation Massive MOBA title. You will collaborate closely with game developers, designers, and other engineers to ensure seamless and reliable multiplayer experience for our players.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing a highly scalable, real-time, network entity replication and state synchronization layer.
Additionally, you will optimize network performance, diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on game development or online multiplayer games.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in game development, such as C++.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as TypeScript is a plus.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols relevant to multiplayer game development, including UDP, TCP, NAT traversal, and latency optimization.
- Experience with Unreal Engine and its networking capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex network issues in a game environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player experiences in online multiplayer games.
- Previous experience with game development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends in game networking.
