What you'll do
- Lead engineering efforts for Unity-based educational games developed by studio partners globally, including in India and Chile, including conducting technical code reviews for C# scripts, helping in determining a scalable coding architecture, and providing feedback to their engineers to ensure standardization across game studios; assist in vetting new third-party engineering resources and getting them up-to-speed on standards, processes, expectations, etc.
- Devise a plan and create processes for standardizing and sharing Osmo engineering information across teams, establish mentoring, and foster technical skill development among the engineering team, and improve company platform codebase written in C# to better support remote team development and project segmentation
- Supervise U.S. junior game engineers, including mentoring and coaching them to strive for excellence and advance business and career goals; assist in vetting new engineering resources and training them on coding standards, engineering processes, and work expectations
- Serve as step-in technical expert on projects that require additional support, including designing and coding game features, and working with Unity game engine and C# language to create tools to improve cross-team collaboration between artists and engineers
- Collaborate closely in cross-functional teams with product managers, artists, and designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Must have three years of experience in electronic game development. Experience must include: (i) C# programming; (ii) Unity game development; (iii) mobile game development; and (iv) supervision of remote engineering teams.
Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per year
