AppLovin’s in-house creative team, SparkLabs, is looking for game developer interns for a 12-week paid summer internship program. This is an opportunity to experience the culture & atmosphere at AppLovin and take on some of the responsibilities and functions of a full-time game developer for the summer period. Game dev interns will apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real-world development experiences. This position will serve as a critical member of an impactful team that wears many hats and moves fast. This is a hands-on role and the work will span various responsibilities. This role requires someone who thrives in a diverse, fast paced environment where grit and resilience is valued as highly as operational excellence.
As an Intern the responsibilities could vary based on the area to which you are assigned. Some of these responsibilities could include:
- Helping create high quality mini-games representing top mobile apps in the marketplace
- Researching and synthesizing market trends and innovating creative ideas
- Learning valuable game development skills from a team of talented game developers!
Basic Qualifications :
- Junior or Senior year student working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, game development or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Javascript
- A portfolio showcasing projects related to game development.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Plays mobile games!
- Proficient in Photoshop for basic image editing
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Self-starters who are results oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and who take initiative
- Strong time management, prioritization and the ability to adhere to deadlines
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with diverse people
