About Us
LiquidX is an application layer-focused venture studio dedicated to pioneering innovation in the digital realm. Our approach involves building 5–6 transformative companies through a dual strategy: independent innovation and collaborative entrepreneurship.
We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. With large backing from our recently raised funding round, we aim to create an entirely unique experience with immersive gameplay and extensive lore that will wow all gamers.
The Challenges
Your creativity, expertise, and enthusiasm plays a key role in delivering our users with an immersive player-focused gaming experience. You will collaborate with team across the globe to design and iterate the systems, mechanics, and content that make up a resonant player experience
What You Can Expect To Work On
- Contributing to the game’s vision which includes concept, gameplay, story and functionality;
- Being an active member of the development team using inclusive collaborative frameworks with diverse teams to decide on goals and establish the stories players want to tell within a given release;
- Contributing to the gameplay experience goals for designs, and tune features to meet those goals;
- Improving designs based on playtests, game metrics, team input and community feedback;
- Being resourceful and solve problems using the tools and time/scope available to create unique and fun experiences for players;
- Balancing in-game mechanics, & design in-game economy and monetization system;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including artists, animators, modellers, developers and producers to get support from the team and guide a project from initial design to final production;
- Having an eye for improving process and efficiency to make life easier for the Design team.
- Collaborating with the Development team to create clear and concise design documents for feature implementation;
- Identifying live feature improvements and find design solutions for implementation;
- Reviewing feedback from UX tests to help identify issues and improve usability, fun, and engagement; and
- Any other game design related task
Requirements
- 3+ years experience designing for video games;
- Comfortable working with visual programming (ie. Unreal Blueprint).
- Familiarity with using Unreal Engine, Unity or both;
- Excellent English written and verbal skills;
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership;
- Capable of working under pressure and within deadlines regardless of design concepts and limitations.
