Game Design Intern

The opportunity

Are you a future talent with a passion for game design? Do you enjoy figuring out how games work, deconstructing their systems, and analyzing their economies? Would you like to be a part of the game industry and get joy from enabling creators to make outstanding and innovative content? If the answer is yes, this position is perfect for you!

In this role, you will get to experience how the game system- and economy design are connected with the live game in the future of game design and development. You will be joining the Research Labs team composed of hardworking folks in search of new groundbreaking methods to author content and help storytellers.

Together with the team, you will come up with novel ways of connecting game design and development enabling game designers to control the game system and economy design all the way from the idea to actual implementation and live game. Our goal is to help our customers to build better experiences for their players.

What you’ll be doing

• Deconstructing and documenting different mobile games and systems creating an understanding of game features and annotation for the game design modeling language this team is developing
• Developing new models of new and existing games that can be used as examples for product development and customer work
• Collaborating with game studios to help to learn the tool and support in building new use-cases
• Working with fellow designers, researchers, and developers craft how game design will be done in the future

What we’re looking for

• You have to be currently enrolled into respected University
• Passion for game economy & systems design
• Understanding of the mobile F2P market
• Self-starter, can work independently and drive things forward by themselves
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to take feedback and turn them into meaningful items

You might also have

• Game economy design experience
• Experience in game development
• Hands-on experience in visual scripting or the Unity engine
• A positive, can-do attitude that can be spread across our organization
