Game Community Manager

Job Description
As a Game Community Manager, you will report directly to the Global Social Portfolio Lead and Monetization & Marketing Head and work closely with a group of passionate community experts to develop and nurture the relationship between Gameloft as the game developer and the game’s player community by developing community experiences that keep them loyal to our games.
In this role, you will be dedicated to fostering healthy & thriving communities on a set of key channels & games. Your key responsibilities will be defining, developing & managing the best community content & experiences, in order to keep them entertained & engaged with the game. As such, you will be planning, publishing & moderating content across various channels, & funneling community feedback in order to support each game team in continuously improving our players’ experiences.

For this position, you are expected to be a passionate and tech-savvy social media marketeer with an understanding of the importance of communities and their power within a game’s lifecycle. You’re the kind of social marketeer who is aware of trends in your field and always looking for ways to instill these trends and benchmark into your day-to-day role.
Qualifications
Main Responsibilities
Channel & Content Planning:
- Develop & produce the evergreen content approach for the social media networks you are responsible for, in equation with the game’s priorities & objectives throughout each period.
- Own the content & assets creation process in order to produce a consistent flow of evergreen content for each of the channels you are responsible for, & when necessary, propose ways to optimize the content creation process to ensure a positive ROI.
- Ensuring that the community of players has first-hand access to patch-notes, tutorials, promotions & information on events happening in the game.
- Coordinate UGC programs for your game (e.g Content Creator Program, hashtag challenges, community contributions board etc.) & report on the performance of these initiatives.
Community Feedback Loop & Reporting:
- Ensure a steady & constructive flow of community/player feedback to Game Management teams then share and contribute the inputs, recommendations to game development and monetization team and the other stakeholders involved to achieve the game common goals, using the tools at hand. Work on improving the process when required.
- Track & analyze community & content performance KPIs, & capitalize on learnings in order to continuously improve each activation.
- Analyze conversations & identify key insights from the community in order to improve content & community experiences on the channels you are responsible for.
- Reach community performance targets in terms of: engagement, overall coverage, reply times, community Csat, overall sentiment, community retention metrics, content performance, product feedback and impact on game KPIs & utilize tools and processes at hand in order to continuously improve performance.
Community Engagement & Moderation:
- Grow, develop and organize the communities of your game players and fans.
- Monitor, moderate and interact with the game community platform and channels (forum, Discord, Reddit, the other social media..) to build a strong bond with all community members, catering to MVPs.
- Ensuring the validity & use of all frameworks guaranteeing community safety, crisis management, customer satisfaction & game/update technical issues coverage across the channels they are responsible for.
- Proactively identify & propose innovative solutions which will set your game apart from its direct & indirect competition and continuously aiming to improve .
- Ensuring coverage across channels, using the FAQs, response bibles & community management tools at their disposal.
Community Strategy & Marketing Leverage:
- Design and implement the most adapted yet compelling community strategy for your game, utilizing all possible digital marketing leverages & opportunities.
- Proactively take part in the elaboration of the marketing plans for your game, ensuring that all digital marketing & social marketing touchpoints are addressed in the most effective way.
- Conduct benchmarks & trends observations and be a proactive source of ideation for the Game’s marketing team.
Requirements
Must have:
- Proven experience in community management, preferably in gaming industry and related fields.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable in video games and the gaming culture.
- Creative and ideas driven.
- Bring innovative social ideas and trends to implement in the global social content calendar.
- Understanding of social media networks & how they are used by gamers.
- Analytical mind & KPI driven.
- Experience on community & social media toolstack (e.g publishing tools, social listening tools, content creation tools such as Canva, Photoshop etc.).
- Relationships-driven: Build credible & trusting relationships in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of colleagues & collaborators across the company & the world.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both English verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced & international environment.
- Positive energy, team spirit & a zest of fun are a must.
- Presentation skills.
- Microsoft 365 (Office, Excel, Outlook, etc…).
Nice to have:
- Previous and trackable experience on video creation for TikTok and/or for livestreaming on Twitch is not mandatory but can be a plus.
- Be confident in front of the camera and able to lead live interviews to the developer team and external partners.
- Knowledge on the following tools: OBS, Photoshop or Canva, CapCut or any other similar video editing tools.
