Game Audio Programmer (C++)

Job Overview

The role will involve working on audio systems of a free-to-play UE4 based multi-platform

game. You will work as part of the Audio Programming Team and working with the Audio Director and Audio Design Team to craft the players' audio experience.

In this role, you will enable and enhance the creation of awe-inspiring audio for a new & exciting project aimed at a Western audience.

In this position you will be working within a multidisciplinary team of developers in a global community and will have the ability to both share your hard-earned knowledge and continue to develop your skill set by learning from your teammates.

Reports To

This position is based in Guildford and you will report to the Lead Audio Programmer who will also be based in Guildford.

What will you do?

• Work with your Lead and the Audio Design Team to define the Audio systems for a free-to-play UE4 based PC game
• Develop features yourself
• Support the Audio Design Team who may be working both locally and remotely

What are we looking for?

• Programming experience in the gaming industry working in C++
• Strong familiarity with Unreal 4 and the Wwise Unreal Integration
• Loves working in cross-disciplined feature teams
• Passionate about audio
• Great verbal and written communication skills in English

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Working with highly distributed teams
• Developing Audio for PC, as well as different console platforms
• Experience in other areas of Audio Production
• Some commercial Unreal 4 development experience
