We are currently searching for an Art Director. This position is full time, remote.
In this position, you will:- Mentor and retain a team of talented artists in accordance with the core values and strategic goals of Maximum Entertainment.
- Define and maintain the artistic direction for the game in collaboration with other core team members.
- Establish art guidelines and documentation for your artists and make sure other artists are successful in their individual areas of ownership.
- Maintain a high-quality bar for art and review other artists' work.
- Build long-term partnerships with other artists within the group to promote continuous improvement in art practices.
- Collaborate with game design to ensure that the artistic direction supports the vision for the game.
- Create concept art, character designs, and other assets as needed.
Ideally, you have:- Knowledge of the fundamentals of 2D art and traditional animation.
- Practical experience with 2D asset development pipeline for games.
- Experience working on projects using custom game engines is desirable.
- Previous experience as an art director on game projects.
- It is a plus to have worked on projects using third-party license IPs.
- Experience with Git and/or Git GUI clients.
- Knowledge of collaborative project and task management software.
- Proficient professional communication skills in English.
