Game Analyst

Job Description
The Game Analyst must be proficient in applied analytics and data mining; including knowledge of various theories, techniques and technologies. He/she will be required to develop decision support tools; specifically, he/she will transform questions from various production stakeholders into actionable quantitative analyses based on the consumption of our titles and the behavior of our players.
What you’ll do
- Identify telemetry needs of different business units and translate them into data collection technology compatible elements;
- Follow up on the integration of the data collection system, in liaison with various internal teams;
- Participate in the development and improvement of information collection systems;
- Analyze, synthesize and interpret product and player data in order to identify findings, trends and make forecasts;
- Develop and implement tools, indicators and dashboards to provide strategic and operational support to the various productions;
- Research and develop statistical models to explain past behavior and predict future behavior of our players;
- Collaborate with various stakeholders (Community Managers, Marketing, Monetization, Production, Technical Operations) to support decision making and to guide the studio's strategic actions by providing quantitative logic for various possible decisions;
- Write reports and communicate the synthesis of data by highlighting priority and relevant information for decision making;
- Develop action plans and work with respective teams to implement identified recommendations and follow up;
- Create new processes and automate, standardize and optimize existing processes;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Degree in a quantitative or related field (statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, business intelligence, economics, computer engineering) or any equivalent education or work experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, or other relevant experience;
- Experience in data analysis;
- Experience with SQL in a Big Data context;
- Experience with Python or R;
- Experience with ETL processes;
- Experience with Apache Spark and various engines such as PySpark (an asset);
- Experience with Tableau Software (an asset);
- Experience with video games (an asset);
- Proven knowledge of data analysis tools, software and systems (e.g., SQL Server, DataGrip, Jupyter, R, Tableau);
- Strong strength in developing reports, graphs and representation of statistical data. Proficiency in MS office package: word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel), creating presentations (Powerpoint);
- Ability to work with large databases;
- Proactive, innovative and autonomous;
- Structured, strategic and rigorous thinking;
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in French and English;
- Ability to balance technical and business perspectives;
- Ability to develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships and communicate with all levels of management;
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment;

- Interpersonal skills and empathy.
