Volley develops voice-controlled games and lifestyle apps for Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Our voice apps are world-class and attract millions of users every month. We're a 30-person team based in San Francisco.

Volley is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to to build out the web experiences that drive Volley's products. This person will have broad authority to create clean, modern web experiences using the latest in web technologies. They will also be deeply involved in ongoing discussions regarding the adoption & creation of new tech at Volley.
The products you support will be deployed to a wide variety of devices, including smart speakers, smart TVs, and (of course) web browsers. Our standard stack is React + Typescript, but beyond that we're extremely flexible, selecting the best components and frameworks to meet the needs of each project.
At Volley you will:
- Build products that reach millions of active users
- Create brand-new web applications from scratch, using the latest technologies
- Pick the best components, frameworks, and libraries to drive your projects
- Work on best-in-class voice products that are social, engaging, and fun to play
Things you may have done before:
- Built out complex, performant websites using React or equivalent
- Created full-stack experiences driven by serverless backends
- Contributed to open source frameworks
- Operated in environments with fast development-cycles focused on rapid product iteration
Must haves:
- Experience with modern web frameworks and Typescript or other strongly typed languages
- A sharp eye for design
- Strong opinions about product
- Great verbal and written communication skills

We're currently all working remotely on Zoom. In the next 6-12 months we hope to return to our beautiful office in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. In the meantime, we have amazing remote Happy Hours and team game nights, and a VERY active cooking channel in Slack. Join us!
