Frontend Engineer, React.js & TypeScript

We are currently growing our Core team and are on the search for a Frontend Engineer to join the team of talented engineers in charge of building our back-office applications and internal tools.

The Core team at Tactile is responsible for building a variety of in-house solutions, which are used to manage our live game (LiveOps), marketing and data operations. As a Frontend Engineer within our Core team, you will be working on our business critical dashboards, web services and build server, which are used by different teams within the business to improve their day-to-day operations.

The impact you will have on the team’s success is that you will help to broaden our core team’s expertise with deep knowledge of web development (mainly in the front-end, but it's also great if you're open to digging around the backend code at times as well). You will work closely with the other Frontend Engineers and our Product Designer to spearhead the integration of our new dashboard designs, enhance our design system and fine-tune our internal services.

Our web platform's frontend is written in React.js following our style-guide along with a components library we are still developing. The backend is written in Node.js and we use the Express web framework. We run on GCP, connecting our services through message queues. We write all our code in Typescript.

Okay, let’s get a little bit more specific. Here’s what you’ll be doing on the day-to-day as a Frontend Engineer within our Core Team:

• Implementing new features and functionalities for our internal tools and services
• Making high quality UI components
• Maintaining the existing code base
• Working closely on new feature designs with out Product Designer
• Taking over responsibility from implementation to deployment
• Bringing up your own ideas to shape our products and actively search for requests and feedback from the product teams
• Peer code reviews
• Looking into the backend code and making adjustments if needed

To keep it short & sweet, as a part of our Core team you’ll be working with a modern stack:

• TypeScript, with React/Redux
• Storybook
• MaterialUI
• Jest with React testing library
• Node.js & Express.js (in the backend)
• CircleCI
• MongoDB
• DataDog (monitoring system)
• ... and more!
We do not expect you to know everything about this stack (we're not looking for unicorns), but you should be open to and comfortable with learning new technologies.
