Front-end developer (JavaScript)

Job Overview

Wargaming is growing their Prague based development studio and we’re looking for a Front-end Developer into the new team to work on projects for web/in-game browser and World of Tanks Portal.

Portfolio of the team includes such projects as:

Landing Management System (LMS) - platform to develop and publish new landings to attract new audience and interact with existing one;

World of Tanks Portal - main portal of the game (https://worldoftanks.eu);

WebBridge - system to deliver personalized content into the client of World of Tanks;

All the project are adaptive and contain sophisticated animations. For the new projects team stick to component approach with usage of Vue.js and ES6.

As Front-end Developer you will focus on web and in-game projects for browser. Besides support of existing projects we also have a roadmap with new projects which should be created from scratch.

Reports To

Front-end Developer will report to the Engineering Manager.

What will you do?

• Optimize and support existing projects like LMS, Portal and WebBridge;
• Implement new projects from scratch;
• Use latest HTML5 features to deploy modern responsive layouts with complex animations;

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of experience in JS (ES5/ES6);
• Experience with at least one component-based frameworks. Such as Vue.js (React, Angular, etc);
• Experience in building front-end architecture;
• Experience of supporting complex web projects;
• Experience with adaptive and cross-browser layouts (IE11+);
• Team player who enjoys cooperation with others;
• Good English verbal and written communication skills;

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience with preprocessors SASS or LESS;
• Experience with Webpack or Gulp;
• Knowledge how to develop Unit Tests;
• Experience with SSR;
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN);
• Experience with template engine (Jinja2);
