Senior Motion Graphics Designer (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

We are looking for a highly talented Senior Motion Graphics designer to join the Total War: Warhammer Downloadable Content (DLC) team. The right candidate will be both an artist and a storyteller, working closely with the game design team to tell stories in the Warhammer fantasy universe.
This position requires a high degree of creativity and narrative flair, as well as excellent time keeping and communication skills. Using Adobe After Effects and working with the design team, script writers, freelance illustrators, you will create exciting and evocative in-game narratives to help the player establish the scene and background story of each DLC.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Motion Graphic Designer, you will be working closely with Designers, Scriptwriters and Illustrators to help you create and achieve your vision. This will include creating storyboards and animatics using layered paintings in After Effects. You will be responsible for delivering compelling animated 2d cinematic sequences that play throughout the game. Working closely with other team members and departments, you will create the story, and the script, to create VO or dialogue. You will be accountable for producing high-quality motion graphics from mock-ups to final product, as well as working closely with Development Managers to plan workload and deadlines.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Fluent with in Adobe products
- Photoshop
- After Effects
- Premiere Pro
- Ability to communicate effectively and openly in a team environment
- Very strong organisational skills. Driven and self-motivated
- Relevant experience in planning and managing all the cinematic components
- Ability to manage contractors
- Knowledge of visual film language
- creating storytelling sequences
- shot composition
- animating dynamic cameras in After Effects
- Knowledge of motion graphics
Desirable
- The ability to illustrate/storyboard
- Knowledge of a 3D package such as Cinema 4D or Maya
- A passion for games and films
