Financial Planning Analytics Director (M/W/NB)
Job description
Your role:
Within Ubisoft’s International Production Headquarters, reporting to the Financial Planning Senior Director, your role will be instrumental in the assessment of R&D Investments, Projects Cost Control and Financial Planning Tools evolution.
This is a privileged position for a proactive individual with strong financials and analytics background, that wants to develop a 360-view of Gaming R&D methods, within one of the largest production forces in the industry.
Missions:
1. Ensure a high level of consolidated business insights on Projects R&D Investments
- Orchestrate global reporting, communicate rules and deadlines to our partners in studios
- Consolidate Projects Investments perimeter, provide relevant analysis at each financial milestone, present to the Management and to Group Finance
- Understand cost drivers and granularity, develop partnership with Financial Planning Community in studios and HQ Production Intelligence cell
- Together with a multi-disciplinary HQ team (Editorial, Prod, Brand, …), follow specific game development processes, assess risks & opportunities, recommend action plans
2. Improve the reporting / budgeting tools and processes
- Develop a vision of integrated data flows in an ecosystem of applications, that ease the production and analysis of financial data
- Based on BI sandboxes, maintain & develop a set of automated dashboards (Tableau Server) to help key stakeholders monitor their activities
- Advise on the evolution of analytical axis and product referential, ensure Master Data information is up to date
- Together with IT partners, advise on the evolution of core FP tools
3. Manage & develop a team of 2 FP Analysts + 1 Trainee + 2 Processes/BI experts
Qualifications
- Educational degree in economics, finance, management, or similar field
- Solid and long related work experiences in Finance and/or Audit
- A successful experience in managing people
- Mastery of Excel and multi-dimensional cubes, appetite for analytics, processes, and data flows
- Proactivity and autonomy, combined with a high sense of work ethic, rigor, and integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior leadership, and people from different backgrounds, in a multicultural environment
- Curiosity and capacity to challenge established ways of working, drive change and influence partners with consensus
- Strong interest in the Gaming and/or the Entertainment industry
- Fluent in French and English
- Experience with Access and Tableau Server is a plus
- Being a gamer is a plus
