ROLE OVERVIEW:
We're looking for someone to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to support our Maxis studio. The Finance Manager II role reports to the Senior Director of FP&A and is your chance to be a collaborative partner & trusted advisor to the studio leadership team responsible for The Sims franchise. You will partner with senior leaders across the Maxis studio including the VP/Studio GM and Head of Operations to lead across all financial elements associated with The Sims franchise.
- Provide strategic advice and partnership to the studio and executive leadership
- Manage the holistic health of the franchise, including full P&L responsibility
- Work with studio business partners in developing the fiscal year plan/forecast and strategic long-range model
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support our partners
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Business Partnering:
- Provide financial leadership and support strategic decision-making by ensuring the implications of all decisions are understood and considered
- Partner and collaborate with teams across all levels of the organization
Financial Close, Forecasting, Reporting & Analysis:
- Overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis. Communicate results to enhance and promote decision-making
- Partner with the Accounting group to manage Close
- Identify and manage Outlook, Risks and Opportunities
Promote FP&A Excellence:
- Identify and lead programs to improve and automate forecasting and reporting processes
- Challenge status quo and provide alternative solutions
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6+ years financial experience
- Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
- Expert Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint knowledge
- Experience in Power BI or similar BI dashboard visualization tool
- Experience with financial forecasting tools
- You resolve complex business issues and move beyond reporting to synthesis and insight
- You have a healthy impatience for change and willingness to ask the tough questions
- You have strong presentation and storytelling experience
