• As our simulation specialist, you’ll work to translate actual use cases into Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model; interpret/optimize the analysis results and develop/validate against real life test scenarios; and convert the simulation solutions into executable design suggestions.What you'll do
- Lead FEA and CFD for all engineering programs (across all sites)
- Lead internal and outsourced FEA resources as required. Review results to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Develop and implement FEA standards as it relates to the simulations, data models, and material databases.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical leads, reliability engineers, and product marketing to establish the products test and simulation requirements.
- Provide root cause analysis based on simulation results, laboratory testing, and field failures.
- Provide optimization suggestions (i.e. weight reduction, material alternates, design enhancements, etc.) to the design team.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field; or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience preforming finite element analysis on complex systems.
- Proficient in 3D MCAD and FEA software (FEA Lead or Specialist).
