Summary:
We are seeking a highly-motivated Experience Designer to join Mastery & Adaptive product team. The ideal candidate will be a team player who helps teammates and improve team collaboration with solid UX/UI/IX design skills through strong design thinking artistry.
This position will support our interactive learning products by designing highly-engaging product experience that fits into our broader educational ecosystem. As an Experience Designer, you will collaborate closely with Experience Design lead and product leadership including Product Owner, Product Manager, Game Design lead, and other creative leads as well as curriculum, design research, data analytics, engineering, and production teams to ensure adherence of best user experience to the product’s vision, providing clear design recommendation for both parents and kids.
This position requires high attention to detail and the ability to balance fun and learning based upon research findings and live data.

Responsibilities:
- Create, design, and own the implementation of fun, engaging features, contents, events, and other product experiences that provides meaningful context to both parents and kids utilizing adoptive and recommendation engines.
- Be the voice and advocate of meaningful design for users, and drive user experience through all design thinking phases and product implementation processes to the measurable live-ops functions.
- Work closely with game design, art, animation, and a cross-functional team on the UX/UI/IX design implementation and iteration on our product experience that engage, surprise, and delight users.
- Collaborate with design research, data analytics, and other departments to evaluate, engage, retain, and activate our users and drive design decisions for efficient, effective product experience that converts users to improve KPIs.
- Assess and apply both qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve informed design through highly engaging experience tuning across the entire product evangelizing the best practices of experience design.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess 5+ years of professional experience in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design, and Usability Engineering for creating comprehensive UX/UI/IX Design for modern high-quality cross-platform applications that entertain, educate, and activate users to be learners.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Graphic or Industrial Design, Computer Science, HCI, Fine Arts, or related fields; or equivalent experience with an emphasis on Experience Design and Human Factor.
- Experience using both qualitative and quantitative research findings and live data to drive functional product design evaluation and iteration for evidence-based design.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to receive and give constructive feedback as well as strong interpersonal communication skills to work independently.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to change priorities as new opportunities arise.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to both technical and non-technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of contemporary children's media, especially children’s educational apps and learning games.
- Familiarity with working in a scrum/kanban/agile environment.
- Capability of iterating divergently in low fidelity and refining solutions at high fidelity.
- Experience designing for Unity for cross-platform design and development.
