About the role
As Executive Producer, you will partner with a Product Lead to realize their product vision by leading the management, development, and oversee team operations. You will provide overall management of project timelines, drive financials, staffing, and tightly coordinate and collaborate with functions across the broader company to execute with high quality and urgency. You are able to stretch from high-level thinking to detail-oriented problem solving, enjoy creating new ways to do things better without adding bureaucracy, possess strong business acumen and be the bridge between the broader business strategy and team by tapping into the pulse of the company. In addition you will work cross-functionally with a multitude of stakeholders including Finance, Publishing, HR, Location Managers, and operations to meet development needs.
This is a major leadership position in our organization.
What you will do
- Build a great relationship with the Product Lead to enable their creative vision to come to fruition
- Partner with Product Lead and cross functional executive leaders to establish the team, product roadmap, and talent strategy and lead its successful execution
- Grow a healthy high functioning team culture that expands to the broader organization
- Ensure that the project vision is clear and that the team is always communicating properly both internally and externally
- Establish and maintain resource needs and develop solutions with the broader organization to meet development needs
- Build the appropriate scaling structures inside the team to allow it to grow as needed
- Lead the discussion of how your team will make the most of our distributed nature and how team members will collaborate online and IRL
- Drive the understanding of priorities and strategy across the game team and effective execution against the product roadmap
- Ensure the team/talent are operating as effectively and efficiently as possible through developing and maintaining indicators that track project quality, delivery, financials, and risks
- Lead any legal/contractual/licensing discussions specifically related to your project
- Manage the development budgets working with the product and finance partners
- Empower the team to do their best work, clear away obstacles, solve problems, and facilitate collaboration
- Work closely with your functional core across other projects to continuously level up your function
- Build and maintain great partnerships between the team’s people managers and all appropriate functional cores across the company to ensure all disciplines inside your team are being properly managed
- Partner with the central part of the org and individual location managers as needed to make sure your team has all the resources it needs to be successful
What you'll need to be successful
- Experience as an operational leader overseeing games in the free to play space through full development cycles - from prototyping to live ops
- Experience managing and growing development and/or creative teams in the video game industry
- Exceptional knowledge of product planning and execution with deep understanding of game development
- Great problem solving skills and ability to motivate others to find solutions in new and dynamic environments
- Desire to build partnerships and are the kind of person people want to work for and with
- A bias for action and experience predicting issues before they come up
- Desire to pursue the highest quality of work
- Passion to build teams and a great culture in transparent but empathetic ways
