Your Mission
Blizzard’s Learning & Development team seeks a highly motivated and experienced Engineering and Production Learning Manager to help us support and drive our game production and engineering communities’ learning needs. The Engineering and Production Learning Manager is responsible for developing a robust program to accelerate our developer’s career development, working with engineering and production leadership across our development community to help grow our talent through coordinated seminars, classes, workshops, and screenings so that they can focus on building epic experiences for our players.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and production leadership to identify learning needs and opportunities across all development teams
- Develop an understanding of the strengths and opportunities for improvement within the engineering and production subject areas to craft standard processes
- Develop strategies to embed and reinforce project management in the culture of development across Blizzard
- Support the professional goals and development opportunities for our entire engineering and production staff
- Plan and create relevant training and internal events for engineers and producers
- Source internal and external experts to contribute to our speakers series, /learn
- Partner with other learning managers for cross-discipline programs
- Boost communications and facilitate knowledge sharing across the development community
- Develop metrics and methods to assess learning program effectiveness
- Own and curate internal craft hubs and our video library
- Monitor industry trends and innovations to inform training programs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a software engineering, learning and development, game production, project management, program management, or related role
- Key skills – needs assessment, project/program management, facilitation, presentation, communication, influence, strategic and critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving
- Strong consulting (internal or external) experience and skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and effectively influence a team with varied strengths
- Able to succeed in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment
- Talent for diplomatic, unbiased communication, both written and verbal
Pluses
- Experience with managing, coaching, and mentoring engineers and/or producers
- Experience working on game development teams
- Cross-disciplinary communications experience between engineering, production, design, and art
- A passion for video games

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $77,760.00 - $143,920.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
