Job Title:

Engineering Manager

Requisition ID:

R015347

Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to create and operate services responsible for User Profiles, Game updates, User Generated Content, Game Configuration and more.

The Storage team has six engineers based out of our office in Dublin. It is part of the Game Services department responsible for backend services that Call of Duty and other games depend on. You will be responsible for projects and products from conception through planning, prioritization and overall execution.

Our primary customers are other Studio engineering teams that directly develop our games and require online services to meet their requirements. You will lead technical discussions with internal partners, mentor, and challenge our technical specialists and plan our huge AAA annual launches. This role suits people who like to stay close to the tech or have recently made the leap from individual contributor to management.

The Storage team is still growing as we have more opportunities than personnel to take them on. The right candidate will grow the team and determine the team's long term technical direction and product priorities.

The team heavily uses Python, C++, Kubernetes, Cassandra, MySQL and ElasticSearch in our private data center as well as public clouds (AWS, GCP). Familiarity with these or similar technologies is required.

This position does not require hands-on development but diving into the details is encouraged. You may not need to write code day-to-day, but to understand all the team's debates and discussions you will occasionally need to review it.

What would you like to see in my background?

Our ability to build immersive and innovate worlds is only enhanced by diverse teams working in an inclusive environment. We aspire to have a culture where everyone can thrive in order to connect and engage the world through epic entertainment. We provide a suite of benefits that promote physical, emotional and financial well-being for ‘Every World’ - we’ve got our employees covered!

The videogame industry and therefore our business is fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners.
