Engineering Lead, SRP Foundation & XR team

The opportunity

Unity is used by millions of creators around the world to build powerful and engaging real-time experiences! At the heart of this is graphics, from the initial point of content creation down to the final pixels on the target device.

We work on the Universal and High Definition Render Pipelines that support all Unity platforms, and on the foundational Scriptable Render Pipeline APIs in the engine. The Render Pipeline group is on a mission to build the world's most scalable and extensible render pipeline solution!

Your day-to-day work will involve managing a team of expert Graphics Engineers, ensuring that our R&D roadmap stays on track, supporting the growth of your team members, and aligning with other teams to define the requirements for foundational rendering systems like RenderGraph, the SRP XR API, and the Core SRP APIs in the Unity engine.

The team is based in the US and Europe, the role may involve limited travel to other Unity offices in order to meet your reports.

What you'll be doing

• Lead your team to grow their technical skills and careers, and ensure they have everything they need in order to be successful in their roles
• Align plans with other Render Pipeline and graphics teams to integrate development roadmaps
• Thoroughly scope, plan and keep track of the status of R&D projects

What we're looking for

• Experience managing a small team of software developers
• Knowledge of real-time graphics
• Knowledge of software engineering practices
• Experience with Software Project Management and agile methodologies

• Extensive knowledge of RT3D rendering
