Engine Support Technician (Contract)

Epic Games is looking for an onsite contract Engine Support Technician. The person in this role will be able to help customers and peers by troubleshooting technical issues with projects in Unreal Engine 4, interact with talented teams, and engage with community members to build a solid working relationship.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support for our customers developing projects using Unreal Engine 4
• Providing technical support for the Epic Games store publishing pipeline
• Investigating and reproducing bug reports from our customers and reporting them to the development team
• Communicating and escalating critical issues to ensure visibility among development teams
• Being familiar with existing learning resources and communicating gaps in coverage
• Participating in creating and improving support processes
• Gathering and reporting data to share with stakeholders
• Collecting, creating, and sharing documentation and learning resources for the community

Qualifications:

• Experience using Unreal Engine 4
• Experience in game or simulation development using any engine
• Experience providing technical support in a customer-facing role
• Development experience including C++, Blueprint scripting, or 3D asset creation
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes, including researching and logging defects in a bug tracking system
• Experience debugging C++/Blueprint issues
