Engine Developer (World of Tanks Blitz)

The MS-1 development studio is looking for an Engine Developer to join the Moscow office to work on the World of Tanks Blitz project.

The Engine Core team is responsible for ensuring stability of our own game engine. Our main focus is improving system and hardware compatibility. Thanks to the team's efforts, Blitz works on the latest OS versions without any errors. On top of that, the game meets the platform's requirements, so it passes tests without problems and is featured often. We are also responsible for assembling project components on all platforms.

Our main challenge is ensuring multiplatform capability (Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, Nintendo Switch), as well as covering a wide range of devices. We support rare OS versions so that players can enjoy the game even on relatively old devices.

MS-1, Wargaming’s premier mobile development studio, is behind World of Tanks Blitz, a renowned cross-platform shooter, and World of Warships Blitz, a mobile naval combat game, with games in a portfolio boasting over 160 million downloads.

What will you do?

• Develop new and improve existing engine features within the studio's projects
• Write code in accordance with SSR Code Style
• Refactor and optimize code
• Support the testing process, and write unit and functional tests
• Perform code reviews according to the established process
• Create documentation on newly developed features

What are we looking for?

• Experience with C++, including stdlib (libc++) and threads
• Experience with POSIX API, Win32 API, Cocoa API, Java Native Interface
• Experience with build systems (knowledge of CMake is a must)
• Experience working with different toolchains (MSVC + MSBuild, Android NDK/SDK, LLVM, xcodebuild)

What will help you stand out?

• Experience with C++ 17, Python, Boost, Steam API
• С++/CX, C++/WinRT
• Knowledge of Gradle
• Ability to debug and profile code on Android/iOS
• Experience in mobile development
