Keywords Studios is an international company, serving all facets of the games industry. Right here in Montreal, 2,000 staff members represent the organization. 95% are currently working from home, and returning to the studio as safety measures allow. The ideal candidate
- “I’m here to make your day better” attitude
- The person in the group who comes up with new ideas for events and activities based on colleagues’ interests, ready to work as a team to make them happen
- Interested in gaming culture
- Cares about political correctness, social justice, and the causes that matter to our colleagues; sensitive to holding space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized groups
- Comfortable communicating with everyone, from entry level employees to senior directors
Skills
- Fluent French spoken and written
- Strong English, spoken and written
- Basic web design
- Basic design skills
- Create digital event posters and banners
- Good listener
- Creative, and makes plans come to life
- Follows up “we should” with an actionable plan
- Intermediate or higher in Office 365 (Teams, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable using and moderating social media (Facebook, MailChimp, internal newsletters)
Requirements
A typical workday
- Write internal communication for newsletter, email, or social media
- Collaborating with other departments to realize employee visions and initiatives
- Co-creating and executing seasonal events
- Come up with new themed days and activities (ex. March 10 as Mario Day)
- Organizing the A to Z of mid to large scale events
- Arrange volunteer opportunities for staff
- Order supplies for in-office treat days with snacks and perks
- Negotiating employee perks with vendors (transit discounts, restaurants, gyms)
- Analyze survey data
- Run contests, tournaments
- Build relationships with colleagues, local businesses and charitable organizations
This is a big place, with room for big ideas and rewards. The ideal candidate turns the “we should” into actionable plans, and is receptive to feedback and participation from colleagues. They are confident in their abilities, and have a genuine investment in morale, listening, and keeping the workplace fun. Schedules vary based on projects and even time zones, and the Engagement team is here for it. The candidate will typically work regular business hours, however is ready to put in the extra time around special event days.
