Electric Square is looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Experienced Quest Designer to join our Brighton based team working on an exciting, critically acclaimed franchise.

An Experienced Quest Designer at Electric Square:

• Pitches designs for missions in a clear and digestible way
• Plans and implements mission beats with scripting in Unreal. These will include:
• Cinematics
• Combat
• Puzzles
• Traversal
• Realises game features in-engine with Unreal
• Confident in solving problems independently by reaching out to other departments to unblock issues that arise when scripting missions
• Communicates with other design departments to be able to sync current state of missions and deliver them highest to the highest quality

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in mobile or console game development with at least one released project as a technical designer
• Hands-on experience with designer tools and proficient with commercial or proprietary game engines (like Unreal / Unity)
• Experienced with visual scripting (like UE Blueprints)
• Excellent bug diagnosis and debugging skills

Skills:

• Able to concisely articulate game concepts and analyse game mechanics
• Understand feedback and can make a plan to address it
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with team members outside of the code team.
• Ability to manage time and workload effectively including planning, organising, and prioritising. Able to break down and structure tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Highly self-motivated with a positive mental attitude and pride in delivering quality
