The Challenge Ahead

You will manage our European and Asia Pacific real estate portfolio. You will support our Senior Director of Global Real Estate in leading the development of the global real estate strategy to support Electronic Arts long range business plan and our talent and product life cycle strategy. You will demonstrate your expertise in real estate portfolio management including site selection, construction, budgeting, project and risk management. Growing relationships with partners is expected. You will help guide strategic planning across the whole organisation.

What a Director of Real Estate does at EA

• Oversee EA’s Europe and Asia Pacific real estate portfolio developing metrics and using benchmarks to increase opportunities, identify trends and understand risks
• Oversee Europe and Asia Pacific lease management including broker relationships, negotiation of terms and renewals and obtain appropriate sign-offs
• Support the process for Europe and Asia Pacific location/site selection optimising for commercial terms, talent availability, infrastructure and design; work closely with the Design, Workforce Analytics, and Workplaces team on site selection decisions
• Produce long-range forecasting for existing Europe and Asia Pacific footprint and scenarios for future footprint and improve capital/opex execution
• Support the development for Europe and Asia Pacific rolling capital plan and forecast for construction and design projects
• Work with the Senior Director of Global Real Estate, develop business cases for Europe and Asia Pacific real estate decisions working with partners to accomplish multiple short, mid and long-term programs and strategic plans

The next great EA Director of Real Estate also needs

• Experience in Europe and Asia Pacific real estate leadership, including management of a real estate portfolio, including strategy, planning and large-scale capital projects
• Knowledge of Europe and Asia Pacific real estate standards, policies, metrics and best practices
• Experience in supplier selection and external vendor management
• Emotionally intelligent with the ability to influence, negotiate and build collaborative relationships across the organisation
• Manage and motivate remote teams to make an impact
• Experience building and driving improvements to existing programs
• Multicultural skills and global mindset
• Ability to travel globally
