The Challenge

As the Director of Production, you will collaborate with leaders across multiple teams (Engineering, Design, Audio, Art, etc.) to expand and enhance the capabilities of our studio through process standardization, mentorship, growing the team, and more. A successful leader in this role is adept at creating a collaborative environment and a flexible communicator who can translate information across teams.
What You’ll Take On
- Collaborate with the Studio Manager to define the production standards for Intercept Games as well as work with the Leads to implement and drive these standards across teams.
- Contribute to overall studio leadership and organizational direction, specializing in matters pertaining to Production.
- Guide the Production team in making realistic plans and development cycles that allow us to meet our goal of shipping games we are proud of, without sacrificing morale or causing burn out.
- Manage and develop the Production team by way of tactical leadership, proactive mentorship, and individualized career pathing.
- Coordinate Producers and team members across disciplines to work in harmony.
- Continuously improve team health by finding opportunities to define and refine how we work as a team.
- Establish new projects alongside the Producers to ensure they are set up with the departmental standards and processes in mind.
- Recruit and interview candidates for roles on multiple projects, ensuring a consistency of quality in new hires across the company.
- Support tactical Production activities on a project as needed.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of professional game Production experience.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Experience shipping multiple titles as a Producer.
- Expertise in Production, Project Management, and mentorship.
- High level of proficiency with Production and Project Management toolsets such as Jira, Confluence, and/or Monday.
- Skillful communicator, who can actively listen, have difficult conversations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to be a positive influence on the organization, motivate others towards a common goal, and lead with vision.
- An understanding of game development at all stages based on prior experience.
- Ability to set team goals while considering studio-wide implications and impact.
- Executive Producer or Production Manager experience beneficial.
