Director of Marketing

We need a strategic leader on our marketing team to guide us through the twists and turns of this rocketship ride through the stars. In this role, you’ll oversee the strategy of our strategic partnerships and user acquisition efforts, lead a highly driven team, and get us safely to the next planet.

You’ll connect with some of the most influential creators in gaming and beyond, explore new channels to unlock user growth and brand awareness for Discord, and optimize the overall performance across multiple marketing channels.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing cross-channel strategy that aligns with business objectives
• Working cross-functionally to design and support successful marketing campaigns
• Mentoring and growing a team of partnerships and growth marketers, and bringing on great people to join our team
• Setting and managing quarterly goals and targets for the Partnerships team and Acquisition team
• Evaluating portfolio performance and trends to continually improve and scale effective programs
• Developing new channels for growth, including co-marketing partnerships and new acquisition channels

What you should have

• Big-picture, high level strategic thinking to connect the dots
• Track record as a great people manager who built a great team
• Affinity towards data and insights in making decisions
• 10+ years of strong marketing background across multiple disciplines, including performance marketing or marketing operations
• Partnerships or business development experience, including working with digital influencers or across content creator platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, etc.
• Passion for Discord and belief in our mission
