Who are Bad Robot Games?
Founded in 2018, Bad Robot Games is an evolving development & publishing house made up of game industry veterans who are committed to constantly innovating on how stories are played.
Working closely with our colleagues at Bad Robot Productions, our projects unite our games industry veterans, our film and TV colleagues, and our larger network of talent (writers, composers, sound designers, concept artists, and more), to allow us to blend areas of expertise, and diverse perspectives to create expansive worlds and stories.
We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to join the team and build something totally unique with us.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Plan and execute all product marketing strategies for both the company brand and our individual game titles.
- Build a world class marketing team that will innovate around ways to bring games to market across PR, Communications, Creative World building, User Acquisition, Community Management, Influencer Strategy, and Social Engagement.
- Team-up with the internal game team(s) to implement their strategic vision, creating a tangible marketing action plan within realistic budgets.
- Build-up cross-project expertise and implement meaningful analytics to ensure a good ROI across all our campaigns.
- Own the look and feel of our digital marketplaces across platforms and digital stores.
- Have a start-up mentality around building a marketing strategy and execution plan.
- Work directly with influencers, utilizing a deep understanding of the streaming and social media ecosystems.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 8 years in operational marketing (gaming or entertainment industry a plus)
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, community and public relations activities.
- Familiarity with all aspects of the marketing lifecycle and a deep understanding how to optimize the funnel.
- Understanding of how to create, measure, execute, and build towards achieving a meaningfully impactful campaign.
- Deep connections and experience utilizing influencer marketing. Streaming is key to our success in building our brand and community
- Demonstrated successful experience of writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
- Focus on analytical marketing and business intelligence. Capable of setting metrics/KPIs and making recommendations against.
- Able to build and manage a cross-functional marketing organization
- Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communicator.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Outside the box thinker.

Distributed Team and Remote Friendly:
- It’s 2021, games are being made by developers spread across the world. Our HQ is located in Santa Monica, CA, but our team collaborates from all over.
- For now, we are only accepting remote candidates in the continental USA, but may be interested in changing this policy as we grow.
