• Firewalk™ is working on a new multiplayer IP to be exclusively published by PlayStation
• Cauldron™ is developing a single-player, adventure-driven game
• Our RPG Team is creating a next-gen co-op RPG

The Role
We are looking for a Director of Globalization to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing our strategies for globalization, localization, and international operations in support of our product portfolio. You will engage with both internal teams and external partners, leveraging your expertise to find solutions that enable creative and business goals while ensuring ProbablyMonsters consistently delivers best-in-class global player experiences. You will be empowered to define and evolve our processes in intelligent ways to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Your passion for pleasing global audiences and your tireless dedication to helping our studios achieve worldwide success will play a pivotal role in establishing revolutionary new game franchises that will someday be household names around the globe.
Who You Are
- You have experience leading large-scale video game localization teams and/or programs in support of multiple products in simultaneous development
- You maintain in-depth awareness of industry and local market trends around the globe
- You have a deep respect and appreciation for the creative process of game development balanced with a business focus and a genuine desire to help teams successfully grow the broadest possible global player base
- You continuously pursue process improvement with a mind for scaling operations

What You Will Do
- Establish global content localization tenets defining when and what we localize, and why
- Partner with development and central teams to develop internal localization and internationalization competence and build scalable processes & pipelines
- Partner with development teams to ensure products are developed with a globally minded approach to maximize player reach and retention, leveraging regional insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to advocate for regional user experience initiatives
- Partner with Marketing to shape international brand management, community management, and product marketing strategies
- Partner with External Development to develop a robust network of external resources to service all ProbablyMonsters globalization initiatives including efficient content localization, localization QA, regional consumer insight, and international customer support programs
- Establish measurable KPIs for program efforts, monitor performance, and implement improvements
- Establish and drive geopolitical review process for content across the business in coordination with Legal
- Partner with Product Owners to identify strategic opportunities to optimize products for target markets and to strengthen regional KPIs
- Drive emergent localization technology R&D and pipeline innovation efforts with an eye toward efficiently scaling operations and improving content quality & reach
Qualifications
- 10+ years professional localization experience including hands-on game localization program management experience and significant experience in internationalization
- 7+ years of team leadership experience in a large, cross-functional organization
- Deep understanding of translation technologies and platforms: translation memories, translation management systems, machine translation, workflow automation etc.
- Outstanding collaboration and partnership capabilities
- Experience partnering with distributed global teams and selecting and managing vendors across different geographies and time zones
- Proven effectiveness at delivering summary updates, reports, and impactful presentations at the executive level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in English and at least one other language
- Strong analytical capabilities and judgment
