Director of Global Channel Strategy

Reporting to the Head of Global Channel Publishing, the Director, Global Channel Strategy will be responsible for defining global strategic best practice and developing and communicating strategy that raises the bar across channel performance, directly affecting business results . As the strategic leader for the Global Channels Publishing team, you will use your expertise in creating integrated marketing plans to fuel the creation of industry-leading Player channel experiences across Riot Games. You will create frameworks and processes that allow global strategic alignment between our Product Marketing teams, our international Regional publishing network and Riot Brand, ensuring that our publishing efforts manifest in the desired player experience and produce optimal results.

You will help guide a complex set of senior partners across Worldwide Publishing, Game and IP Studios, including the League of Legends franchise, to guide decisions and align resources to maximize the impact of Channels Publishing. The Director, Global Channel Strategy must have a expertise in developing and applying measurement strategy.

The Director, Global Channel Strategy also serves as a key Worldwide Publishing leader for horizontal programs, especially those that focus on Brand plans, cross-product programs, shared platforms or publishing transformation. The Director, Global Channel Strategy finds opportunities for innovation, and develops and enforces strategic processes and best practices across projects.

Responsibilities:

• Determine strategic best practice in integrated channel planning and in channels globally, finding opportunities for productive innovation
• Deeply understand our goals, challenges , and player motivations in order to create winning channel experiences
• Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, and Regional Publishing to create business-driving, cross-channel plans and strategies for products at all stages of lifecycle
• Identify opportunities for innovation in channels that improves player experience and outcomes
• Determine and govern global cross-product channel priorites, driving toward the optimal outcomes for Riot Games
• Ensure accountability by driving the system-wide requirements of channel measurement, analytics, data gathering, and reporting
• Lead the Global Channels Publishing insights and data team
• Contribute to the team culture of expertise, learning and development

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years experience as a strategic leader of integrated marketing
• Hands-on strategic planning experience in multiple relevant areas such as influencer marketing, social media, digital media planning, and CRM
• Proven ability to drive strong results through strategy
• Experience leading global teams with diverse skills sets in a matrix organization

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Master's degree in marketing or related field or an MBA a plus
• Game industry knowledge
• Experience working with marquee brands and in high-growth environments
• Gamer a plus
