The Business Operations function partners with external vendors and our internal teams who are responsible for bringing our games to players around the world. Leadership, Marketing and Studio departments rely on relationships with external vendors to help achieve our continued success. Examples of potential initiatives this role helps facilitate and drive include: AI, DTC, Loyalty, etc.
As a Director on the team, this role will build and maintain relationships with partners across the SciPlay organization, helping program manage specific projects and facilitating relationships with external vendors.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the mobile game industry developed over many years of industry experience, an ability to program manage specific projects, and an ability to help with the business development side to leverage good relationships with external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with internal resources to develop partnerships for proof of concepts strategic projects
- Identify business requirements to help drive external vendor analysis
- Negotiate and oversee relationship with external vendors
- Help with program management, reporting, and analysis of strategic projects
- Based on results recommend, influence, and execute the rollout from proof of concepts to companywide project
- Presenting findings to a wide range of audiences, showing an ability to cater to varying levels of game and market fluency
Requirements
Required Experience:
- MBA preferred but not required
- 7+ years experience in Tech or Games across any of the following verticals:
- Business Development
- Program Management
- Strategy / Consulting
- Experience in project timeline visualization. With a particular fondness for distilling complex timelines and requirements into simple-to-follow narratives
- Experience negotiating and owning relationships with external vendors/partners
- Familiarity with modern gaming business models including paid, free-to-play and subscription
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
- Well-rounded soft skills; a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to prioritize
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Expert PowerPoint and Excel Skills
- In depth knowledge of gaming space
- Excellent presentation skills
· Ability to negotiate vendor contracts
· Critical Thinking and Creative Problem Solving
· Ability to influence and develop positive relationships with Leadership, Marketing, and Game Studios
