We are looking for an HR leader to join our team who has demonstrated passion for building positive and engaged work cultures. To be successful in this role, the HR Director will need effective program management skills, communication skills to align the team around strategy and goals, and an ability to develop a diverse and strong team capable of role-modeling the culture that Bungie strives for. This is an organizational leadership position that will manage and develop Bungie’s HR Business Partners and a team of 4-6 HR Managers. This role will include working with the President and Chief People Officer to guide, coach, and design effective organizations that deliver on Bungie’s product roadmap. You will also leverage data and analytics to identify trends and recommend solutions to drive business success. This role requires a problem-solving, programmatic approach with industry thought leadership to drive consistency in processes and services aligned to company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Develop and lead a team of HR professionals.
- Business Partner: Work directly with Bungie C suite leaders.
- People Plan: Collaborate with business leaders to identify business priorities and leverage the all-up People Plan to build consistency across the organization. You ensure alignment of the people plan, people programs, and tools with business strategic goals, and advise on the development and implementation of the holistic people plan (e.g., talent management, leadership effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, culture) for the organization.
- Organizational Diagnostics: Partner with business leaders and peers in HR (e.g., Talent Programs, Recruiting, Analytics, etc.) to diagnose talent management processes/programs, talent pyramid, talent needs, movement, compensation patterns, risks, business insights and interpret results to build recommendations based on data analyses. Use knowledge of the business to identify trends/themes, communicate finding and provide meaningful recommendations to senior leadership. Translate data and insights into action and lead implementation of organizational solutions through your team.
- Strategic Talent Management: Identify and predict current and future talent needs and influence the design and implementation of strategic talent management solutions in alignment with organizational strategy, data, and budgets. In partnership with other teams, design talent movement plans for critical roles and establish a talent pipeline. Identify strategies to influence talent development plans and programs and establish a roadmap to build capabilities by helping business leaders make decisions to build, buy, or borrow talent and assess impact of the decisions.
- Change Design & Orchestration: Identify the needs for change and lead the implementation and adaption to new or changing structures (leadership or organizational), cultural change, or programs/processes (e.g., training, talent movement) for an organization. Contribute to developing change management and communication plans in collaboration with business leaders.
- Company Policies: Advise on the development, improvement, and implementation of policies and procedures that will help create a more inclusive culture
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Exceptional communication skills, including: a demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, strong mediation and counseling skills, and the ability to drive to effective outcomes during conflict resolution
- Ability to handle highly confidential and personal information in a professional manner
- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion approaches
Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment). Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date.
